Age of the Hot Water System - Hot water systems aren't designed to last forever! Average life span of a Hot Water System is 10 years but can vary.
Water Temperature - Have you noticed that the temperature of the water doesn't last as long as usual? Perhaps the shower turns cold halfway through or maybe you run out of hot water quicker than you used to.
Rusty coloured water- This is an indication that the inside of your hot water system has started to rust and needs to be changed.
So you have identified that you need to change your hot water system, but now what?
Hot water systems can only be installed by licensed Plumbers, if your hot water system is a gas hot water system you will need to make sure that your Plumber is also a Gas Fitter. An electrician will also be required unless your plumber has a restricted electrical licence.
